Today is that perfect combo of back to school coolness and toasty-not-burny sun and enough wind to push the clouds without making it rain. It feels mournful, but in a weird way. Phantom sadness, because the part of my life where summer was a respite from everything else is over. I live in some sort of forever respite now. Permastructurelessness. Infini-chill. I’m not losing anything with the flip of the calendar, and yet—
Late August, September and October are some gourmet bullshit, my babies. I’m so excited for fall to be here.
